The Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW) is delighted that this year once again businesses, foundations, funds and societies are willing to make available the Holland Society Young Talent Awards 2019.
I kindly invite you to nominate using the form below one or two students who graduate in the academic year 2018/2019 for one of the Young Talent Graduation Awards. In case of a nomination of two, one male and one female candidate should be nominated. Nominations must be accompanied by the written consent of the teacher or graduation advisor of the student.
Note: The KVNI Thesis Prize for Informatics and Information Science applies to both Dutch and Belgian master students at an institution for academic education. Dutch and Belgian students at higher professional education institutions and universities of applied sciences may also compete. In the case of universities only master theses/research reports will be considered. The KHMW provides a second and third prize of € 1,000 each.
The scientific quality and innovative character of the graduation thesis/research report, as well as the overall achievements of the candidates during their studies will be evaluated by a commission of experts, nominated by the board of KHMW.
Nominations should be submitted digitally, including an electronic copy of the degree thesis. The closing date for nominations is 16 September 2019.
The laureates will be invited to the award ceremony in the Hodshon House in Haarlem on Monday 25 November 2019. It goes without saying that in the event your candidate wins a prize, you will also be invited to attend the award ceremony.
I look forward to receiving your nomination for the benefit of your field of science, the possible laureate and the promotion of these prestigious awards.
